What I Did

  • Operated action and ISO cameras for 4+ live games per season, capturing gameplay, crowd reactions, and replay-ready shots

  • Maintained constant communication with the Technical Director (TD) via PL to support live cuts and replay roll-ins

  • Executed assigned camera plots, shot priorities, and framing standards aligned with broadcast rundown

  • Supported replay and highlight workflows by anticipating key moments and maintaining consistent exposure and focus

  • Process

Prepared for each broadcast by reviewing camera plots, shot lists, and game flow expectations. Completed pre-game technical checks including white balance, exposure, focus, and comms verification. During live production, followed TD cues via headset, prioritized safe on-air framing, and adjusted dynamically to gameplay pace. Maintained situational awareness to capture replay-worthy moments while supporting overall program continuity. Participated in post-game wrap and breakdown to support efficient load-out and future broadcast improvements.

    Results

Delivered reliable, broadcast-safe camera coverage with over 60% on-air shot utilization and zero missed key moments. Strengthened live production fundamentals including timing, framing discipline, and control-room communication. Gained hands-on experience operating within institutional broadcast standards while contributing to consistent, network-quality university sports coverage.
